Fantastic Facilities indoors and out
The Ansdell Nursery School is a small friendly nursery situated in the grounds of Ansdell Primary school. We have close relations with the school and join in many of their activities. Children can choose to have a school lunch at the school or bring a packed lunch.
Children can attend mornings, afternoons or full day sessions. All staff are qualified to at least a level 3 in childcare or are working towards it. All staff have many years experience working with young children. The nursery follows the Birth to Five Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and believe that all children are individual, we tailor make activities to each child's interests and needs.
Each child is assigned a key person. Their role is to help ensure that each child's care is tailored to meet their individual needs to help the child become familiar with the setting and to offer a settled relationship for the child and to build relationships with their parents.

Children at The Ansdell Nursery learn at their own pace, they are encouraged to make decisions independently and develop their self help skills. They can role play in a safe and stimulating environment, socialize with their peers and adults and develop their physical and problem solving skills. We are constantly renewing toys and areas indoor creating exciting and stimulating areas of learning.
The children at the nursery come with a unique set of experiences acquired from home, the community or perhaps other playgroups. We aim to use these experiences as the starting point in their learning and to extend their knowledge of themselves and their surroundings by using our comprehensive objectives based curriculum. Children are welcomed from all nationalities, cultures and beliefs.
